Hi! I’m Natalia, a Canadian freelance copy editor, proofreader, and translator.
Editing Services: At Natalia Iwanek Editing, I can take you through the five main stages of editing from conception to completion. I offer manuscript evaluation, developmental editing, stylistic editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
Non-Fiction: I work on projects related to disability and accessibility; policy review and non-profit work; inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA); political science, international relations, Latin American history; and leadership and finance.
Fiction: I work on both short stories (my personal favourite form), novellas, and novels. Although I enjoy all types of fiction, I read widely and diversely in and am most knowledgeable about genre fiction (specifically hard and soft science fiction, horror, thriller, mystery, and romance/queer romance) and literary fiction.
Sub-Specializations: I specialize in disability consulting and accessibility, inclusive language, plain language, authenticity reading, and (Spanish to English) translation.
