Translation Services Defined
In addition to my editing services, I offer translation services from Latin American Spanish (with a focus on Northern Mexican and Guatemalan Spanish) to Canadian and US English. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Spanish to English Translation.
My Translation Background
Specifically, I primarily work in non-fiction, such as marketing content: social media posts, blogs, articles, etc. I am familiar with CAT tools.

Translation Rate and Process
For non-fiction, my translation rate is $40 CAD per 1,000 words.
This includes
- an email discussion of your translation needs and project specifics,
- one round (three passes) of translation, and
- a follow up email discussion regarding any clarifications or questions.
At our agreed upon due date, I will provide you with
- a translated (either a Microsoft Word document or a Google document.
Copy Editing Terms and Conditions
- All prices are quotes in CAD.
- Upon receipt of documents, a contract will be sent to the Client, which must be signed prior to commencing work.
- This contract will establish scope of work, expectations, and timelines.
- A 50% deposit must be sent via e-transfer or PayPal prior to the Translator commencing work.
- The remaining 50% will be due within 10 days of completed work and receipt of Translator invoice.
